BMO Financial Group to fund research into brain and nerve diseases

For almost 30 years, the Foundation has had a tremendous partner in BMO Financial Group

BMO Financial Group has announced a $250,000 gift to St. Boniface Hospital Foundation, in support of Neurodegenerative Disorders Research.

At St. Boniface Hospital Albrechtsen Research Centre, the Department of Neurodegenerative Disorders (DND) studies brain and nerve diseases including Alzheimer’s disease, multiple sclerosis, stroke, dementias, nerve damage during diabetes and other neurological diseases.

“We are so proud to continue our support of St. Boniface Hospital, and help them advance the groundbreaking work they’re doing for DND research,” said John MacAulay, Senior Vice-President, Prairies and Central Canada Division, BMO Bank of Montreal. “This gift brings our commitment to the hospital to almost $1 million, and we could not be more confident that it will make the future of Manitoba and our country a healthier one.”
